Raipur, September 23, 2016: Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon today dismissed from service the Vice Chancellor of Bastar University Prof NDR Chandra.
Prof NDR Chandra was dismissed from the Vice Chancellor by the Governor with immediate effect, Raj Bhawan sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The decision to dismiss the vice chancellor was taken by the Governor in consultation with the state government, they said.
There were serious allegations of irregularities against NDR Chandra because of which he was dismissed, the sources said.
Bastar Divisional Commissioner Dilip Kumar Wasnikar has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor till a full time vice chancellor is appointed for the Bastar University.
