Jagdalpur, November 5, 2009: The ambitious Bastar University would come up in Ghatlohanga village, near Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh Government said today.
For construction of campus and other infrastructure for the Bastar University the government has identified two villages Ghatlohanga and Tikralohanga in Bastar district, officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
For setting up the University the Government might require a huge chunk of lands and the administration has identified 32.53 acre in Ghatlohanga and at Tikralohanga 18.33 acre land, they said.
In that 45.27 acre government land the campus would be constructed, the officials said.
Bastar region was under the Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur, and looking into the problems of the students of that region, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had earlier announced to have a separate university for Bastar region.
