Raipur, November 6, 2009: Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was today shocked to hear the news of noted journalist Prabhash Joshi, who died earlier in the day.
Joshi, 72, died at New Delhi past mid night today after a heart attack.
A native of Indore in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, Joshi is the founder Editor of language daily Jansatta.
Joshi was a daring, alert, impartial, journalist, who was having an extremely close relation with Chhattisgarh and with him, the Chief Minister said in a condolence message.
It was an end to a golden chapter in Indian journalism and especially in Hindi journalism, with the death of Joshi, expressing his deep sorrow Singh said.
