Raipur, October 27, 2008: Ruling BJP, on the last day of filing nominations for the first phase poll, had changed its Dondi Lohara candidate.
Due to technical ground the resignation of BJP candidate and state government employee P R Naik was not accepted by the Chief Secretary, because of which the candidate was changed today for that seat, a BJP Spokesman told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
Because of the last moment difficulty, the BJP had fielded Neelima Singh Tekam, wife of the current MLA Mahendra Singh Tekam, who was denied party ticket in this election in place of Naik.
The ruling BJP had not offered what was the problems Naik faced in getting his resignation accepted by the government.
Today was also the last date of filing nomination for the first phase poll of 39 seats.
The scrutiny would be on October 29 and the last date of withdrawal of nomination is October 31.
