Jagdalpur, January 11, 2012: Ruling BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi had a providential escape today when suspected Maoists allegedly opened fire on his vehicle in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
When Mandavi was returning back from iron ore rich Bacheli, near Gamabeda village, about 15 km from the Dantewada district headquarters, suspected Maoists fired on his convey, police said.
Although no one was injured in that incident, but the front glass of his follow vehicle was damaged in that incident, they said.
On information police forces have been rushed to the spot, Additional SP Rajesh Kukreja told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com adding no one was injured in that incident.
When the incident took place, the vehicle of Mandavi was on the front of the convoy and the wind shield of the last vehicle was damaged, police sources said.
