Raipur, April 27, 2013: Central Bureau of Investigation today raided various premises of the controversial Pushp Steel Limited in connection with the alleged irregularities in coal block allotment to the company.
CBI today carried out search operation in 11 locations of the country, including at Raipur, Delhi and Haryana after registering a fresh case against the Pushp Steel in connection with alleged misrepresentation of facts while applying for coal blocks.
Raids were also carried out in Narwana in Haryana, reports reaching here said.
It was claimed that the company got mining lease on the basis of recommendation from the Chhattisgarh Government despite having no experience and lacking enough capital required for starting mining operations.
Congress leaders, including former Minister Bhupesh Baghel, had been demanding in various platforms a thorough probe into the allotment of mines to Pushp Steel and its proximity to the state government.
