Raipur, November 25, 2024: Chhattisgarh State level youth festival will be organized in the capital Raipur with the aim of increasing national unity, community participation and brotherhood in the state and to provide maximum opportunities to the youth of the state in the field of art and culture, officials said today.
The state level youth festival will be organized from 12 to 14 January 2025.

Competitions related to 13 types of disciplines will be organized in the three-day youth festival at the Sports Directorate Campus and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium Raipur.
Preparations for the state level youth festival have started in Chhattisgarh. Today a meeting was held regarding the preparations of the State Youth Festival under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Pingua in the state Secretariat Mahanadi Bhawan.
In the Yuva Mahotsav, cultural category includes group folk dance, group folk song, individual folk dance, individual folk song, life skill category includes story writing, painting, impromptu speech, poetry, youth creation category includes science fair, handicrafts, textile, agricultural products, other categories include rock band etc.

The age of participants in the State Youth Festival has been fixed from 15 to 29 years. After organizing the Yuva Mahotsav at the district and block levels, the winners will get an opportunity to show their talent in the State Youth Festival.
The winners of the State Youth Festival will be given cash prizes. The competitions of the State Level Yuva Mahotsav will be organized from 9 am to 8.30 pm.
In today’s meeting, the officials informed that for the successful organization of the State Level Yuva Mahotsav, various departments of the State Government have been given the required responsibilities. It was informed in the meeting that guidelines have been issued by the Collectors of all the districts, Director Sports and Youth Welfare Chhattisgarh regarding the organization of district level and block level youth festivals.
The block level youth festival will be held till November 30, 2024. And the district level youth festival will be organized between 1 to 15 December.
Secretary Public Works Dr Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Himshikhar Gupta, senior officers of other departments including Education, Agriculture, Tourism, Culture, Industry and Health were present in the meeting.
