     Raipur, March 15, 2010: Chhattisgarh Government today said its milk products would be renamed as Deobhog Milk instead of Sanchi.

     The state Government has also decided to establish a Veterinary University at Anjora with the name of Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, replying to a debate on the budget of his Departments, Agriculture Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu told the state assembly.

     Chhattisgarh Government would soon form its own dairy federation, the Minister said.

     After the formation of the Federation the state government would change the name of Sanchi brand to Deobhog, he said.

     On the Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, he said the University would be developed as a centre for research on live stock and the veterinary stream.

     The house passed a budget of 676.64 Crore for the Agriculture Department and Rs 21.19 Crore for the Labour Department, after a voice vote.
