Raipur, April 27, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai called upon the farmers to promote oilseed crops by adopting crop rotation.
The Chief Minister said that in summer, more water and energy is required for farming, in such a situation, it is very important to promote oilseed crops by adopting crop rotation.

At the oath taking programme of Jitendra Kumar Sahu, the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Telghani Vikash Board, Sai said that the role of Sahu Samaj and the Board can be important in this direction.
He informed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Local for Vocal’ campaign is gaining momentum, in which the Board can make an effective contribution.
Citing the example of a village in Sarguja district, the Chief Minister said that the farmers there are collectively producing organic aromatic rice and selling it at the rate of Rs 300 per kg.

Similarly some farmers are extracting mustard oil through traditional method and selling it for up to Rs 1,000 per liter. Such innovations need to be encouraged across the state, he said.
Sai said that his government has fulfilled most of the promises under ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ in 15 months. He informed that by April 30, through the ‘Awas Survey Plus’ campaign, homeless people will be identified and provided housing. Also, by relaxing the rules of housing schemes, arrangements have been made to benefit more needy families.
He said that the Prime Minister has set a target of building 3 crore houses across the country, which will also directly benefit the citizens of Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister also informed that on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day, ‘Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra’ has been launched in 1460 villages of 146 blocks of the state, through which the benefits of various government schemes will reach the common citizens directly at the Gram Panchayat level.
