Raipur, October 08, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said today that his government is encouraging innovation and technical education so that the state’s youth can develop an interest in space science and actively participate in the country’s space missions.
To enhance Chhattisgarh’s participation in ISRO’s journey, a delegation of space scientists led by Director of ISRO Ahmedabad Center Dr. N M Desai met with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Sai and discussed the issues in details.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai and the scientists discussed in detail the importance of enhancing Chhattisgarh’s participation in ISRO’s journey, ISRO’s activities for school and college students, creating new opportunities for the state’s youth, and the use of ISRO’s technology to bring transparency and efficiency to governance.
Praising ISRO’s achievements, Sai said that the heights achieved by India in the field of space science are a matter of pride for every Indian.
He said that the Chhattisgarh government is encouraging innovation and technical education so that the state’s youth can develop an interest in space science and play an active role in the country’s space missions.
The Chief Minister said that ISRO should organise internships and training programmes for the state’s students, so that they can gain practical knowledge of space science.
He also said that ISRO’s technology can be effectively used in areas such as agriculture, mining, monitoring land encroachment, and identifying illegal activities during paddy procurement.

On this occasion, Dr. N.M. Desai, Director of ISRO Ahmedabad Center, briefed the Chief Minister on various projects being run by ISRO.
Dr Desai informed that ISRO is running several innovative programmes to connect youth with space science, which will be expanded in Chhattisgarh. Positive discussions were also held regarding the establishment of a ‘Space Gallery’ in the state.
Dr. Desai invited Chief Minister Sai to visit the ISRO Ahmedabad Center and presented him with mementos of recently launched satellites and Chandrayaan Mission.
ISRO scientists were seen overwhelmed by the photograph of Lord Madheshwar of Jashpur.
During a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, ISRO scientists were overwhelmed when they saw the photograph of Lord Madheshwar. Curious, they sought information about it from Sai.
The Chief Minister explained that Madheshwar Hill is located in Jashpur district, where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of a huge natural Shivalinga. Locals worship this form of Lord Shiva with great reverence and devotion.
He stated that this site is not only a center of religious faith but also a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
Sai presented photographs of Lord Madheshwar to all the scientists as gifts.
Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Rahul Bhagat, Revenue Secretary Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, Higher Education Secretary Dr. S. Bharatidasan, Director of Employment and Training Vijay Dayaram K., Director of Land Records Vineet Nandanwar, ISRO Group Director Dr. D.K. Patel, Dr. Deepak Kumar Singh, Collector Gaurav Kumar Singh and other officials were present on that occasion.
