     Naya Raipur, November 23, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar today issued stern direction not to carry out any civil construction works inside the chambers of the Secretaries and officers of the New Secretariat building.

     “There should never be any civil construction work in any of the office chambers of the Secretaries and officers without the permission of the Naya Raipur Development Authority,” Sunil Kumar told a review meeting today.

     He also expressed strong displeasure over the insufficient infrastructure made available to the State Secretariat employees and also asked the officials to take appropriate action in that regard, according to officials.

     When his attention was drawn to the unavailability of sufficient number of buses, the Chief Secretary asked the concern departments not only to look into the matter but also make arrangement for buses up to late evening during the winter session of Chhattisgarh Assembly next month.

     He also asked the officials to ply bus service up to new Secretariat for the common men.

     Accepting the demands of the Employees Union, Sunil Kumar also asked the officials to provide telephone and internet facilities to all the sections without any delay.

     President of India Pranab Mukherjee on November 06, 2012 inaugurated the multi-billion rupees new Secretariat building at Naya Raipur. The new building has been named after the life line of Chhattisgarh river Mahanadi.
