     Raipur, November 01, 2022: A statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari was unveiled today by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the Collectorate compound Raipur.

     The bronze statue is of 11 feet height and of 1200 kg weight, which was crafted by famous J M Nelson of Bhilai.

     This is for the first time a statue of the Chhattisgarh Mahtari was installed officially anywhere in the state.

     Chhattisgarh Mahtari represents the pride and dignity of the state, which was unveiled on the day when Chhattisgarh is celebrating its foundation day, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said.

     On November 1, 2000 Chhattisgarh was created carving out from Madhya Pradesh.

     The statue was installed to promote the rich tradition and culture of Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said.

      Raipur Municipal Corporation and the Raipur Smart City Limited jointly contributed for the statue.
