     Raipur, September 18, 2016: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has asked the Janjgir-Champa district administration to furnish a detailed report on the alleged custodial death of one scheduled caste person in Mulmula police station.

      “Local administration is inquiring about the incident and whoever is found responsible for the incident will not be spared,” Chief Minister Singh told reporters here.

      One Satish Kumar Narange had gone to the Mulmula electricity office for demanding restoration of power in his locality as there was no electricity in his Sagarpara area of Mulmula police station for the last one week.

     However, he was picked up by the Mulmula police and subsequently he was found dead in Police custody yesterday, reports said here today.

     Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also sought a detailed report from the Janjgir-Champa district administration on the issue.

    “The Chief Minister has taken the alleged custodial death matter seriously and asked for a detailed probe of the incident,” an official said.

     The Chief Minister also said actions against some people have already been initiated and after the probe report further steps would be taken.
