CM Sai Highlights Chhattisgarh’s Investment Potential to Singapore Industry

     Raipur, October 04, 2026: During his visit to Singapore, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today presented the state as a rapidly emerging investment destination while interacting with representatives from the local industrial sector.

Chief Minister Sai invited Singapore’s industry leaders to partner in the journey of building a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ and to capitalize on the investment opportunities available in the state.

     Led by Chief Minister Sai, the state delegation is visiting Singapore to participate in the inaugural ‘Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026,’ organized by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) following a nomination by India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

     On the first day of the visit, Chief Minister Sai and the Chhattisgarh delegation held a formal meeting with senior officials of the world-renowned ‘Gardens by the Bay,’ including General Manager Master Planning Jason Yeo and Director Lim Chiap Song.

     During the meeting, the Chhattisgarh delegation was briefed on the best practices regarding the master planning, sustainable design, and garden management of ‘Gardens by the Bay.’ Both sides held detailed discussions on the potential for institutional collaboration in areas such as horticulture, botanical conservation, urban greening, eco-tourism, and capacity building, official sources said.

     Chief Minister Sai stated that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in forests and biodiversity. He noted that the expertise and experience of ‘Gardens by the Bay’ could be leveraged for developing a botanical garden in Naya Raipur, as well as for enhancing landscaping and expanding green spaces across the state’s urban and rural areas. This initiative would boost tourism potential, increase tourist footfall, and create new employment opportunities for hundreds of people.

Chief Minister Attends Singapore Business Federation’s Leadership Dinner: In the evening, on the eve of the SING Forum, Chief Minister Sai attended a leadership dinner hosted by the Singapore Business Federation. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, India’s High Commissioner to Singapore Dr. Shilpak Ambule, Singapore Business Federation Chairman Mark Lee, and CEO Kok Ping Soon were present on this occasion.

     The leadership dinner was attended by members of the Singapore Business Federation, senior representatives from Mastercard, Tata Consultancy Services, Nestlé, and The Indian Hotels Company Limited, as well as a 7-member delegation from Chhattisgarh and a 26-member delegation from Haryana.

     The event served as a significant platform for dialogue regarding investment, trade, and long-term economic partnerships between Indian states and the Singaporean business community.

     On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai presented Chhattisgarh as a rapidly emerging investment destination.

     He highlighted the state’s progressive industrial policy, reforms undertaken to enhance the ‘Ease of Doing Business,’ and the vast opportunities available in the MSME, startup, and manufacturing sectors.

     The Chief Minister invited the Singaporean industry to partner in the journey of building a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ and to capitalize on the investment opportunities within the state.

     Sai will participate in the SING Forum 2026 tomorrow, October 5. Subsequently, on October 6, he will hold detailed discussions on investment prospects and economic partnership opportunities for Chhattisgarh during a CEO Roundtable with top leadership from leading Singaporean companies and investment institutions.
