Raipur, May 03, 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, as part of the state-wide Sushasan Tihar 2026 (Good Governance Festival), arrived today at Shantipara in Silma Gram Panchayat, located within the Batouli block of Sarguja district.
The Chief Minister interacted with the villagers, took stock of the ground-level implementation of various government schemes and also listened to the grievances of common citizens and issued directives for their prompt resolution.
Villagers put forth their problems and raised demands before the Chief Minister. Taking cognizance of these issues, Sai issued clear instructions to officials to ensure that every application is resolved within a stipulated timeframe.

He emphasized that the government’s objective is not merely to formulate schemes, but to ensure that their benefits reach the very last person in society.
During the event, Rajesh Shukla, a resident of Suarpara village, highlighted his financial hardships and submitted an application seeking a waiver of his electricity bill as well as financial assistance. Adopting a humanitarian approach, the Chief Minister took cognizance of the matter and gave assurances that, in view of his circumstances, the process for waiving his electricity bill would be completed, and necessary financial assistance would also be provided.
Deeply moved by the Chief Minister’s swift decision, Rajesh Shukla remarked that he had been distressed by his problem for a long time, but today, the Chief Minister himself had listened to his concerns with seriousness and offered an assurance of a solution. Expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister, he stated that this ‘Jan Chaupal’ had served as a source of relief and renewed faith for him.

Addressing the ‘Jan Chaupal,’ Chief Minister Sai stated that the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ represents a firm resolve to bring about positive and substantive changes in the government’s functioning. He explained that through this 40-day-long campaign, the administration itself would now reach the doorsteps of the public to ensure the on-the-spot resolution of their problems.
The Chief Minister noted that previously, citizens were compelled to make repeated rounds of government offices to get their work done; however, the government would now personally visit every village to listen to the people’s grievances and resolve them.
He directed officials to treat every application received during the ‘Jan Chaupal’ with utmost seriousness and to ensure its resolution within the prescribed timeframe. During the programme, the Chief Minister also sought information from the villagers regarding various ongoing development works and the implementation of schemes in the region; furthermore, by interacting with beneficiaries, he gathered feedback on the impact of these initiatives.

Present on this occasion were Tourism Minister Rajesh Agarwal, Lundra MLA Prabodh Minj, Ambikapur Mayor Manjusha Bhagat, and Sarguja Collector Ajit Vasant, along with other public representatives, officials, and a large number of villagers.
