Raipur, February 10, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today came down heavily on the policing system adopted by the state police said if there is a law and order break down action could also be taken against the SPs.
“The State BJP government has a zero tolerance against the crime, drugs and illegal activities,” Chief Minister Sai told a conference of IGs and SPs of Chhattisgarh Police.

The Conference was addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, DGP Ashok Juneja among others.
The criminals should have fear for the police and people should have respect, when the forces are hard to criminals and civilised behaviour to the common people, he said.
If the forces fail to check crime departmental actions would be initiated against both the district police chief as well as police station level also, Sai said.
Stern action should be initiated against social evils like gambling, satta, illegal liquor trade as that have adversely affected the youths, he said.

Talking about the forces combating the Maoists, the Chief Minister said his government will provide all assistance to those policemen. A huge amount of money has been allocated for the police department and for welfare to security money will never be a matter of concern, Sai added.
