     Raigarh, December 20, 2009: Raigarh police in Chhattisgarh today registered a case against a Congress MLA for allegedly threatening and asking for donation from an industrialist of the district.

     “A case has been registered against Sakrajit Nayak on the complaint of industrialist Satish Goyal of demanding donation and issuing threatening,” Raigarh District Superintendent of Police Rahul Sharma said.

     The case was under investigation, said Sharma.

     When contacted the senior Congress MLA dismissed the allegation levelled against him and said it was a conspiracy against him.

     Nayak has been accused of demanding for a donation of Rs one lakh from Goyal, who is the Managing Director of Ind Synergy Limited, for the ongoing urban local body election and allegedly threatened him for not succumbing to the pressure.
