The 51st meeting of the Board of Directors of the Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited (CGMSC) held at its headquarters in Naya Raipur approved the projects with a total cost of Rs 1286 crore.
This decision will give new impetus to the expansion of health education and treatment services in the state, Health Department officials said.

The meeting approved tender rates for the construction projects of four new medical colleges; Rs 323.03 crore for Manendragarh Medical College, Rs 318.27 crore for Kawardha Medical College, Rs 318.27 crore for Janjgir-Champa Medical College and Rs 326.53 crore for Geedam Medical College.

Special emphasis was placed on project implementation timelines, quality standards, and transparency. It was decided that construction work would be completed in a timely manner and with high quality standards.
The opening of these medical colleges and hospitals will open new opportunities for medical education for the youth of the state and will also increase local employment generation. Additionally, health services will be accessible in rural and remote areas.
