Raipur, March 21, 2010: Dewangan community today demanded dismissal of Ram Vichar Netam from the cabinet of Dr Raman Singh.
Dewangan community has expressed its strong displeasure over the incident of the Law Minister Ram Vichar Netam alleged slapping Sub Divisional Magistrate Santosh Dewangan of Bilaspur.
Former Congress MLA Motilal Dewangan has condemned the incident.
Meanwhile a delegation from the Dewangan community would soon meet the Governor Shekhar Dutt and demand dismissal of Netam from the cabinet.
Meanwhile, Congress party also today condemned the incident and said the Minister had no right to take law into his hand.
If any of the officials had committed any mistake there was a proper procedure to take action against them but the law never permit any one to assault any of the officials, the Congress party said.
The Congress party also demanded a public apology from the Minister over the incident.
Law and Panchayat Raj Minister Ram Vichar Netam was accused of assaulting the Protocol Officer of Bilaspur District Santosh Dewangan yesterday when the Minister was on a tour during the programme of the Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan.
