Kanker, November 14, 2012: Diarrhoea epidemic has been reported from various places of Kanker District of Chhattisgarh during the festival season, but the local administration has claimed the situation was under control.
Several people, affected by diarrhoea and vomiting from Amapara, Sitlapara and Majhipara areas, have been admitted to hospitals in Kanker district headquarters, official sources said.
Kanker District Collector Alarmelmangai D said the source of the outbreak could have been from food materials as drinking water quality was good.
“The situation is totally under control,” she told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The Collector also clarified that there was no casualty in the outbreak and health and other personnel have been deployed to check its spread.
