Raipur, April 10, 2011: Ruling BJP today decided the name of the son of Baliram Kashyap as the candidate for the May 8 Bastar Lok Sabha by-election.
The BJP Election Committee today discussed and finalised the name of Dinesh Kashyap, son of Baliram Kashyap, as the party candidate for the by-poll, party sources said.
The Bastar by-election was being held following the death of Baliram Kashyap.
The meeting was attended among others by party state President Ram Sewak Painkra, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, senior national party leader Saudan Singh among others, they said.
The name of Dinesh would be sent to Delhi for a formal announcement, they said adding PHE Minister and his brother Kedar Kashyap would be the in charge of the by-election.
