     Raipur, October 14, 2022: Raids by the Enforcement Directorate on the senior IAS, politicians and businessmen from Chhattisgarh has yielded a good result and able to recover a huge amount of cash, gold and other materials, besides arresting three persons, including a senior IAS officer, the agency said.

     “During the search operation, the ED has recovered a total of Rs 6.5 crore worth of unaccounted cash and gold,” the agency sources said.

     Documents relating to investment in bullion market and benami and hawala transactions have also been recovered during the raids, they said.

     Through a coal scam huge amount of cash were being transacted, and in the nexus were senior officials, politicians and businessmen, the ED claimed adding in this connection three persons, including a 2009-batch IAS Sameer Vishnoi was arrested after raids in the premises of the senior officials, politicians and businessmen in the state in the wee hours on October 11, 2022.

     Vishnoi is currently posted as Chief Executive Officer of CHiPS (Chhattisgarh Infotech Biotech Promotion Society) and Managing Director of the State Cooperative Marketing Federation (Markfed).
