Raipur, February 06, 2025: Secretary cum Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Excise Department R Shangeetha today reviewed the departmental activities and directed to prepare a detailed district-wise action plan to achieve revenue targets.

In view of the local elections, Shangeetha directed to take strict action on the manufacture, storage, transportation and sale of illegal liquor and narcotics to ensure compliance with the instructions of the State Election Commission.
She emphasised on increasing vigilance and running special campaigns especially in the Excise Police Station and Check Posts located on the inter-state borders.
The Excise Secretary directed the officers to ensure the availability of liquor in the liquor shops as per the demand of the consumers and not to sell at a price higher than the prescribed rate.
She directed to provide timely and quality solution to the complaints received through “Manpasand” mobile app and toll-free number 14405 to pay special attention to customer convenience and complaint resolution.
Shangeetha also directed to strictly ensure that liquor is not sold at a price higher than the prescribed rate and there is no adulteration in liquor.
Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited, Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation, Flying Squad team, and Excise officers of various districts participated in this departmental review meeting.
Shangeetha reviewed the relative progress of the revenue targets set from April 2024 to January 2025 and directed to prepare a detailed district-wise action plan for the coming months.
