Jagdalpur, July 5, 2009: At least one explosive laden vehicle went missing today from the naxal infested Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
A vehicle of the Government of India owned National Mineral Development Corporation went missing today from Sonarpal area, near here, police officials told the ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
In fact, two vehicles had left Raipur for Kirandul with the high grade explosives. After a brief stopover at a Sonarpal dhaba, close to Jagdalpur, one of the vehicles reached its next destination. However, one was remained untraced till evening.
Meanwhile, police officials at Raipur expressed surprise over the incident and blamed the lack of coordination among the top police officials for such incidents.
How explosives laden vehicles were allowed to go to Kirandul area of Dantewada district without arms guard and without proper monitoring, a senior IPS officer wanted to know.
