Rajnandgaon, November 23, 2008: The Election Commission today issued notices to the Rajnandgaon District Collector Sanjay Garg and many others on allegation of false voting in two places in naxal infested Mohla-Manpur area of the district in Chhattisgarh.
There were allegations of false voting in Muchar and Dorde booths of the 78-Mohla Manpur ST constituency in Rajnandgaon district, which was taken seriously by the Election Commission and notices were issued to the District Collector Garg and others, officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here today.
Although the constituency had registered about 71 per cent polling on the first phase of election on November 14, last but the allegations of false voting were taken seriously and the District Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officers, and the polling parties besides the local police have been asked to submit their reply with out any delay, they said.
It is alleged that the polling parties had not conducted polling at the earmarked polling booths and had furnished reports that proper polling were conducted in both the places.
