Raipur, December 12, 2016: With the change in government, India has changed its policy towards Pakistan, President of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amit Shah today said.
During the previous regime of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Pakistan was attacking Kashmir valley every day, but people were just waiting for permission from Delhi (India Government), Shah told a BJP rally here today.
However, the situation has changed now, Shah said.
After the recent incidents of firing by Pakistan in Indian side, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ordered the army to give a befitting reply, said Shah, a close confidant of the Modi.
“Today things are totally different. It was never a practice to retaliate (to the attack of Pakistan). But we have given a befitting reply to Pakistan on its border,” the President of the Indian ruling party said.
On Kashmir both the neighbours have fought full blown wars as political parties from both the sides have made it an emotional issue for its people.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had questioned, in the last two and half years of its rule what Narendra Modi government had done to the nation “and let me tell the people, we have given a Prime Minister to the nation, who speaks,” he said.
