Raipur, September 02, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said that in line with the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the resolve of self-reliant India, today India has created a new history in the field of technology. The country’s first indigenous 32-bit microprocessor ‘Vikram’ has been launched at the Semicon India 2025 conference.
Chief Minister Sai said this achievement is a strong proof of India’s technological self-reliance and innovation capability.
Sai said that the manufacture of ‘Vikram’ processor is completely based on indigenous technology. This processor has been specially designed for the Space Launch Vehicles of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
This will not only strengthen India’s space technology, but India will also introduce its technological superiority at the global level, he said.

The Chief Minister described this achievement as a result of Prime Minister Modi’s strong will and decisive leadership. Sai said that the rapid progress that India has made in the field of semiconductor manufacturing under the guidance of the Prime Minister is a major milestone towards developed India.
Sai said that this achievement is also the result of the hard work of India’s young engineering talent and scientific community. In line with the resolve of self-reliant India, the manufacture of indigenous microprocessors gives the message that India is now emerging as a manufacturer and a global technological leader, not just a consumer.
This success will give more impetus to campaigns like Digital India, Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The indigenous microprocessor will prove useful not only in space research but also in defense, communications and other high-tech sectors. This is a revolutionary step towards making India technologically self-reliant and economically empowered, Chief Minister Sai said.
He extended hearty congratulations and felicitations to Prime Minister Modi and Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on this historic achievement.
Sai said that this success is the new identity of golden India and will become a source of inspiration for generations to come.
