New Delhi, December 04, 2024: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today shifted IPS officer R Rajasekaran from the post of CID chief and made him ADG Training.
The development came days after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she would initiate a total overhaul of the state probe agency.
The TMC government has not yet posted any one to head the CID.

Rajasekaran was appointed as the Additional Director-General (ADG) CID in May 2022.
Another IPS cadre R Sivakumar is made ADG Enforcement Branch (EB) in place of Rajeev Mishra, reports said.
Mishra is posted as ADG Modernisation and Coordination.
Similarly Damayanti Sen, who was ADG Training, has been posted as ADG Policy.
