August 23, 2014: Chhattisgarh Congress today declared Mangtu Ram Pawar as its candidate for Antagarh by.
Pawar is a former Congress MLA, who contested the last election unsuccessfully.
Pawar is a close confidant of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi and after the state was formed in the year 2000 Pawar had offered to even vacate his seat for Jogi to enter the state assembly.
The Antagarh Assembly by-election would be held on September 13 and the counting of votes on September 16.
After Vikram Usendi elected to Lok Sabha from Kanker as a BJP candidate he had vacated the Antagarh seat.
