     Sukma/Raipur, May 09, 2015: Maoists today abducted over 250 villagers from Sukma district and killed one villager.

     Maoists have abducted scores of villagers from Marendga and nearby villages of Tongpal police station area, when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on tour of neighbouring Dantewada district, Konta Congress MLA Kawashi Lakhma said.

     Besides kidnapping, several villagers were severely assaulted by the Maoists, Lakhma said.

     Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said about 250 villagers have been kidnapped by the Maoists and the government was doing everything to release them.

     Reports reaching Sukma said one villager Sadaram Nag was killed by the Maoists. Nag was one the villagers kidnapped by the Maoists.

    Accusing Nag of being a police informer he was killed, the sources said.
