      Raipur, April 14, 2009: Politics may not have created that much of heat in Chhattisgarh for the April 16 parliamentary election, but due to dry spell, the temperatures in many areas have crossed 40 degree Celsius today.

     Bilaspur has topped in the list as it had recorded the maximum temperature of 41.2 degree Celsius, the Meteorological Department officials told the ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     The mercury in Raipur has crossed 40.4 degree followed by Rajnandgaon with 40 degree, they said.

      When Jagdalpur had a temperature of 37.5 degree, in Ambikapur it was recorded as 37.2 degree.

       Weathermen said the temperature would continue to remain same in most of the places where as the lowest temperature would be around 25 degree. The sky would remain clear in the day, although in some places of Raipur and Bastar regions there could be rain fall, they forecasted.
