Minister for quality PM Gram Sadak

     Raipur, July 25, 2009: Chhattisgarh Government today directed all the Government Contractors to stick to quality works on the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the state.

     Cancel the work order of the contractors, who are not carrying out quality works on the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Ram Vichar Netam said.

     Netam asked the department officials to ensure that standard of the roads at no point of time should be less than the national standard.

     He also asked for timely payment of wages to the labourers on time.

     It is said that the state has completed 2,644 numbers of roads with a total length of 12,817 km under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
