Raipur, April 9, 2010: Prominent BJP leader and Bhatgaon MLA Ravi Shankar Tripathy was today killed in a road accident in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, officials said.
The vehicle of Tripathy met with an accident near Gharghoda area of Raigarh district today, about 300 Km from the state capital, officials said today.
In that mishap Tripathy is dead and three others are seriously injured, officials said.
The first time MLA Tripathy was representing Bhatgaon in Sarguja district.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was shocked to hear the information and in a condolence message he has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Tripathy.
Tripathy was a young, energetic and labourious leader and the vacuum created of his death cannot be fulfilled, the Chief Minister said.
