Ambikapur, April 10, 2010: In the presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and a host of dignitaries from various walks of life the last rite of Bhatgaon MLA Ravi Shankar Tripathy was performed here today.
Son of the BJP leader performed the last rite.
Tripathy was killed yesterday in a road accident in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh.
The vehicle of Tripathy met with an accident near Gharghoda area of Raigarh district, about 300 Km from the state capital, in which three others were also seriously injured.
The first time MLA Tripathy was representing Bhatgaon in Sarguja district.
Besides the Chief Minister, Speaker Dharam Lal Kaushik, Ministers Brij Mohan Agrawal, Amar Agrawal, Nanki Ram Kanwar, Ram Vichar Netam, Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey, many political leaders and a host of civil and police officers paid tributes to the departed soul.
