Raipur, July 18, 2023: Monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Assembly was started today with a noisy note ahead of the year end Assembly election.
To grill the state Congress government, main opposition BJP has decided to move a no-confidence motion in this session, senior BJP legislatures said.
BJP has also criticised the Bhupesh Baghel government for convening a very brief session of four days.
To avoid criticism of its works, the Congress government is not having a longer session, BJP alleged.
The Monsoon Session was started today and would continue till July 21.
There would be only four sittings during the monsoon session, Assembly sources said adding the house would meet on July 18, 19, 20 and 21.
During this period Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel would present a supplementary budget.
The state government would also bring in a couple of legislations during the session.
