     Naya Raipur, November 04, 2012: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today praised his Chhattisgarh counterpart Raman Singh and the famous public distribution system model of the state.

     Hunger of the country could be eradicated with the PDS model given by the state, under the leadership of Raman Singh, Modi told Rajyotshav-2012 function here.

     The model, which had been praised by the Supreme Court, should be adopted by the Centre and all states, he said.

     Because of the long term policy and clear vision of Raman Singh, Chhattisgarh was today developing as a model state, Modi said.

     Modi was the Chief Guest on the fourth day of the week-long state foundation day celebration.

     State Chief Minister Raman Singh said not only for the current generation, but his government was also trying to secure the future of the next generation through its well crafted policies.

    In the coming days, Chhattisgarh would be known as the most developed state of the country, Singh said.

     Gujarat Chief Minister also praised former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of his BJP for creating Chhattisgarh and two other states and said the day it was announced here, he was present in the state to witness the happiness of the people of this region.
