Raipur, November 16, 2014: Every day new things are coming out relating to the Sterilization death case.
Mahawar Pharma, the company which supplied Ciprofloxasin-500 for the sterilization operation had been given good manufacturing practice certificate despite licence of the company was suspended several times for various irregularities.
Out of the 17 samples 13 were found sub-standard, officials said.
The licence of the Mahawar Pharma was suspended 8 times in the year 2011 and complete ban was put on manufacturing of one of its medicines the same year, the sources said.
Five cases are pending in the court since 2012.
Taking cognizance of the case Assistant Drug Inspector Hemant Shrivastava was suspended on instruction of the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh for issuing Good manufacturing practice certificate to Mahawar Pharma.
