Raipur, February 24, 2023: The AICC Steering Committee today unanimously decided not to have election for the all-powerful Central Working Committee or the CWC.
The Steering Committee has authorised the Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to nominate CWC members, party sources said.
The steering committee has unanimously decided to authorise Kharge to nominate all members of the working committee, the sources said.
The matter of election to the CWC was in detailed discussed among the members and it was unanimously decided to authorise the Congress president to nominate members, they said.
The three day plenary session of the Congress party was started here today at Naya Raipur ahead of the year end Assembly polls to Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and next year Lok Sabha election.
