Raipur, October 27, 2008: Election Commission today issued notification for the second phase of assembly election of Chhattisgarh on November 20 for 51 assembly constituencies.
The second phase poll would decide the fates of prominent leaders like BJP President Vishnu Dev Sai, Ministers Ram Vichar Netam, Amar Agrawal, and Brij Mohan Agrawal, Congress leaders Nand Kumar Patel, Satya Narayan Sharma, Dhanendra Sahu, Renu Jogi and NCP President Novel Verma among others.
The last date of filing nominations is November 3, and the scrutiny would be held on November 4, Election office said here.
The last date of withdrawal of nomination papers is November 6, where as polling would takes place on November 20.
Counting of votes for 39 seats of the first phase and 51 segments of the second phase election for the 90-member house would takes place on December 8.
The election process has to be completed by December 13, the Election office said.
