Raipur, March 20, 2023: Chhattisgarh Government has decided to give Rs 2500 per month to the unemployed youths of the state, but framed strict rules to select the beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has decided to give RS 2500 per month to the unemployed youths of the state, official sources said today.
The unemployment allowances would be started from April 1, 2023, the sources said.
For starting of the scheme, the Skill Development, Technical education and Employment departments have given their approval.
To avail the benefit, one has to be a domicile of Chhattisgarh and between the age group of 18 to 35, the officials said.
The person has to pass Class 12th from a recognised board and registered in the Employment Registration Centre of the state.
The youth has to be registered for at least two years in the Employment Registration Centre and does not have any source of income and the income of the entire family should never exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.
The government clarified that the family means wife, husband, dependent children and dependent father, mother.
Initially for one year the unemployment allowance would be given and if the beneficiary did not get any engagement it may extend to another year. But at no cost the benefit would be given beyond two years.
One person from a family will be eligible for such allowance and if the beneficiary refused an offer of job from any government or private organisations, the person will no more be eligible for any further allowance.
