     Raipur, February 16, 2010: Per capita income in Chhattisgarh has increased to Rs 38534, Chhattisgarh Government said today.

    The per capital income (net domestic product at current prices) was estimated to be Rs 38534 in the year 2009-2010, The Economic Survey of the state for the Fiscal 2009-10, tabled in the state assembly said.

     The current figure of per capita income was 11.75 per cent higher than the previous year, it said.

     Compared with the latest figure, it registered a growth of 11.75 per cent over the previous year of 2008-2009, of Rs 34483, it said.

     The Government report also said the Gross State Domestic product was estimated as Rs 95204 Crore, a growth of 19.88 per cent from the previous year.

     The estimates of GSDP for primary sector, including Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Mining was estimated at Rs 27250 Crore, the Secondary sector like Construction, Manufacturing and Electricity, Gas and Water Supply, was Rs 37592 Crore and Tertiary Sector or the Service Sector was Rs 30362 Crore and the growth were 8.24 per cent, 30.76 per cent and 19.10 per cent respectively from the previous year.

     The GSDP at current prices was likely to be Rs 107848 Crore in 2009-2010, a growth of 6.81 per cent from the previous year, it said.

    The growth in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary sectors would be 7.72 per cent, 14.66 per cent and 16.56 per cent respectively over the previous year, it added.
