Raipur, January 29, 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised an innovative millet café of Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh.
Within a shorter span of nine months the Raigarh Millet Café has made a place for itself even at the national level by providing Idli, Dosa, Pizza and Biryani made from various millets.
Raigarh Millet café has earned the distinction of having the first of its kind café in the state to provide delicious foods prepared from millets.
The Prime Minister through his “Man Ki Baat” radio programme appealed to the people of the country to visit the Raigarh Millet Café, whenever possible, and enjoy the delicious foods prepared from millets.
To promote such type of foodgrains this year is being celebrated as the International Millet Year.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel led government is also promoting cultivation of various types of millets.
The Chief Minister in fact wanted to convert Chhattisgarh into the Millets Hub, official sources said today.
As a part of that millets are being procured in Chhattisgarh in the state government declared minimum support price, they added.
