Raipur, July 26, 2023: The primary voters list of assembly election bound Chhattisgarh would be published on August 2 next and with that the process of electioneering would start by the Election Commission.
The primary voter list would be published on August 2 next, Election Commission sources said here.
After the publication of the primary voters list, the Commission would invite application and objection to delete or add names on the electoral rolls by August 31, they said.
Special camps would also be organised in the polling booths on August 12 and 13 and August 19 and 20 for this purpose.
All eligible voters, who have completed 18 years on October 1, 2023, could fill the forms to be enrolled as voters.
The final voters list will be published on October 4, next, they said.
Currently Chhattisgarh has over 1.96 crore registered voters, the sources said.
Chhattisgarh is expected to have elections for its 90-member assembly by November-December this year.
