Prof M P Pandey new VC of Agril Univ

     Raipur, February 26, 2009: Chhattisgarh Governor ESL Narasimhan today appointed Prof M P Pandey as the new Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agriculture University.

    Raj Bhawan sources said from a panel of names the Governor had selected the name of Pandey to head the Agriculture University.

     Pandey is currently posted as the Director of the Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack.

     Dr C R Hazra retired couple of months back and to fill that vacancy of Vice Chancellor Pandey is appointed, they said.

     Earlier a committee was constituted, led by former Chief Secretary Shivraj Singh to prepare a panel of names for that post.
