Raipur 23 May 2026: About 50 free sewing machines were distributed to the women of Meera and Radha Gram Sangathan, Kosrangi today after Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai visited the LRC Centre, Kosrangi of Arang Block on the previous day and made announcement during Jan Choupal.
During the inspection of the LRC centre, Chief Minister Sai had met the women of the village organisation and enquired about their livelihood activities and work.
The women had demanded to provide sewing machines to promote self-employment in Jan Chaupal. Taking the demand of the women seriously, Sai had instructed the officials on the spot to provide sewing machines at the earliest.
Following the direction of the Chief Minister, today on instruction of Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, the village organisation were provided with a sewing machine in the presence of District Panchayat Member Guru Saurabh Saheb and District Panchayat President Takeshwari Murli Sahu.
Sapna Patel of village Kosarangi, said that her group had come to Jan Chaupal and demanded a sewing machine, after which they were given a sewing machine by the district administration today.
Yashoda Mandle, a member of Meera Gram Sangathan, said that yesterday there was a programme of Chief Minister in our village Kosarangi in which we had demanded a sewing machine and we got a sewing machine.
Excited on the early fulfilment of the demand, they said that Chief Minister Sai, understanding their need, took a decision immediately, which will give them new strength towards becoming self-reliant.
Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, she said that this support will prove to be helpful in strengthening the financial condition of his family.
