Raipur, December 20, 2008: Chhattisgarh Governor E S L Narasimhan has appointed R S Dubey as the Vice Chancellor of the Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur.
Dubey is appointed for four years or till date the University becomes a Central University, which ever comes first, and he had been asked to take charges by December 23, Raj Bhawan officials said today.
Dubey had done his post graduated in Biochemistry and PHD from Benaras Hindu University after which he had worked as a scientist for four years in Indian Council of Agriculture Research, the officials said.
He joined the faculty of Benaras University in the year 1983 and was functioning as a professor at the time of his new appointment.
