New Delhi, July 21, 2026: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, his sister and senior Congress leader Priyanka and Samajwadi Party’s (SP) Akhilesh Yadav, who were staging a sit in protest outside PM Residence were forcibly removed by the security forces today.

Supporting the demands of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) of resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for NEET question Paper leak and action against the alleged police brutality against the agitators, who were marching towards Parliament yesterday, several top opposition leaders from Congress and Samajwadi Party were staging a dharna near the high security Prime Minister Residence.

After the discussion with the Union Minister Jitendra Singh failed police intervened.

The opposition leaders, including Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, were forcibly removed by police this evening after they staged a dharna outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence here, demanding his resignation, media reports said.

The surprise sit-in in the high-security zone sent the government into a tizzy, prompting it to rush Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh, along with Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, to persuade the opposition leaders to vacate the sensitive site, the reports said.

Not getting positive result of the discussion, finally the Delhi Police and Rapid Police Force forcibly removed Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and other MPs and detained them for a brief period.
