Raipur, April 21, 2013: Indian Railway has ignored the rehabilitation scheme of the Chhattisgarh Government after having acquired huge track of lands in tribal pockets of the state, official sources said.
Indian railway has acquired huge track of lands for the ambitious Dalli Rajhara-Rowghat railway line, but was ignoring the rehabilitation scheme of the state, official sources said.
As per the rehabilitation scheme, farmers, who have lost their land for the railway project, were entitled for both compensation and job, but the Railway authorities have refused to give jobs to the project affected people, the sources said.
Looking into the seriousness of the matter, some of the farmers have directly complaint to the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.
″The Chief Minister has directed the Balod Collector to look in to the matter and resolve the problem of the farmers, who have been denied job by the railway authorities,″ the sources said.
Dallirajhara-Rowghat project was taken up by the Railways after the SAIL was allotted the iron ore mine of Rowghat for the Bhilai Steel Plant.
