     Rajim, February 23, 2009: A fortnight long famous Rajim Kumbh ended today, but before that lakhs of people, besides over 2000 saints, made their holy dip on the Kumbh, at the holy place of Rajim in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh.

     After taking out a procession, saints from various sects, made their “Kumbh snan” led by the Naga sadhus at the meeting point of Pairi, Sondhur and Mahanadi rivers, at Rajim, on the occasion of the Maha Shivaratri today.

     Culture and Religious Affairs Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal also joined the huge masses of people in having the Kumbh snan and getting the blessings of the saints.

     The Kumbh was started on February 9, in which people from various faiths besides over 2000 prominent saints from Haridwar, Nasik and Vanaras and also from in and out side Chhattisgarh had participated.
     For a fortnight lakhs of people have thronged the mela place, and for their better arrangements the Raipur District Administration and the Culture Department had made elaborate security arrangements and deployed as many as 11 magistrates and huge security forces.
