Raipur, April 16, 2010: Chhattisgarh Chief minister Dr Raman Singh today demanded the Centre to convene an all party meeting on the April 6 Dantewada massacre in which 76 CRPF and state police personnel were killed by the Maoists in an ambush.
Naxal problem was a gift by the Congress party to the nation and the party did nothing when it was in power and now trying to blame the BJP government in the state, Singh said before catching his copter for the gram Suraj Abhiyan here.
Digvijay Singh and many other leaders from the Congress party were today issuing statements on the naxal issue but they needed to take responsibility for the current situation and Digvijay Singh and his Congress party was in power for an uninterrupted ten years in the undivided Madhya Pradesh and subsequently in the new state of Chhattisgarh, he said.
It was laughable to hear the allegation from Congress that the BJP was taking help of naxalites to return to power in the state, Singh said adding it was the BJP which was fighting against the Maoists and also working hard for the development of the state.
The Chef Minister also demanded the Centre to convene an all party meeting on the naxal issue as early as possible.
